First, and foremost- Good day and I hope you prepare your heart and the mind for a few moments of really listening, feeling, believing and experiencing what you are about to read.
After a lovely, incredible juice fast in the woods on a retreat, my heart is beating with love and joy and the mind is clearer and more free from thoughts and judgments than ever. BLESS.
Ever feel like you allow thoughts/comments/criticism/blame/guilt/shame/regret etc., live rent free up above in the mind? Ever feel like "If only I could get these thoughts to stop, my life would be much happier and joyful?" Well the truth is, you can. You need to take back control. The only control center is you, within you, and you need to feel that. Feel the emotions surrounding that, and surrender. What comes up for you?
I learned an awesome exercise during a breathwork session, to question what it is the mind is repeating and telling me. Am I really to blame? Am I really ashamed? No, the truth set ME FREE. I am only a tiny piece of the conditions that occur in the world, things are happening every moment regardless if I ask for them or not and we are only a tiny 1 of 1,000,000,000 elements that cause certain situations. We cannot live in the past, or keep repeating how we wish the story would have played out, it doesn't matter and none of it is TRUE. You can only control RIGHT NOW, This moment to have any effect on your future moments. SIMple, right?
How many times do you go back to that? The first way to approach it, is to feel the emotions that follow the thoughts in the mind, experience them and then feel the emotions that arise with those emotions. How do you feel about having those emotions constantly in your heart center? Not very good? Then change it. Ask what the truth is. It isn't tru that you are guilty, or you were wrong, or you should have done this or that, NO you are innocent, its over it doesn't exist anymore and you are exactly where you need to be. Start to feel what those words mean, allow the emotions in, the JOY from freeing your mind and taking CONTORL of your thoughts.
Start to feel from the heart center. Practice this as a meditation. Smile from your heart to start and as you breath, allow the smile to travel into your body. With every few breaths, send your smile from the heart to each organ, yes, everyone you can remember and then send the smile all over every limb. After you send the smile internally, begin to feel the smile and send the heart center love to those in the room/house, to your friends/family, and to those in the world. Take about 10 minutes- 15 for this meditation. And try it every day for three days in a row to feel some changes and let them settle.
Living with my heart first, giving with my heart and not the mind, has allowed this week to be full, JOYFUL, celebratory and really has deepened my appreciation for my relationships.
